If you are over 50, our Bike 50 programme of rides can help to introduce you to a healthier lifestyle and the benefits of regular exercise. Cycling and socialising with others can really add to the beneficial effects.
Regular exercise can:
- improve balance and flexibility
- lower blood pressure
- defend against heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes
- help maintain cognitive function
- reduce depression and anxiety
Our weekday bike rides are led by experienced volunteers who will meet you at the start and lead the way. We use an app called Spond for ride booking. Please read the Joining Us page first so that you can register with us and pay your subscription. You will then be invited to join our Spond Group and will be able to book a ride.
